Located at 1128 E March Ln, Stockton, CA 95210, Grand Buffet operates as a chinese buffet serving Stockton in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Grand Buffet at (209) 689-3234; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Its Google rating is 3.5 out of 5 from 984 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Stockton is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Stockton is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Z & J Grand Buffet is a callback to the old Grand Buffet on the intersection of March Lane and Pacific Avenue. Although the selection of food is on the smaller side, this buffet is consistent with what it has to offer, with only a handful of options rotating in and out. The staff team is hospitable, providing guests with disabilities with accommodations and ensuring that food is available and readily stocked. The staff in the back responsible for the noodles are excellent at their job, giving guests the option to add garlic or spicy chili onto the noodles. Lunch hours are from 11:00 A.M to 2:45 P.M and provide the lunch price of $17.99 + tax on weekdays. Later hours on the weekdays and on the weekends will charge the dinner price of $27.99 + tax, but will provide guests with more quality selections (crab for example). I highly recommend eating at Grand Buffet for lunch, otherwise, this establishment provides a pleasant dining experience for its guests.

Very mediocre food. Typical buffet with average to below average food quality. Chicken and shrimp tasted old or poor quality. Only thing that was probably better was the chow mein station where they cook it in front of you. Wanted to try and not going back again.

First time coming here and its an okay buffet. If you’re a big buffet lover you probably won’t like it much since there aren’t that many foods to choose from. Beijing buffet is miles better than here imo. They barely had any sushi options. Chow mein looks sad and mushy. No sesame balls, fried shrimp, and wings. Desert area looks sad as well. First and last time coming here for sure. Paid $30.51 total for myself. Only thing i liked here was the icecream machine, chocolate chip cookies, calamari. The sea food boil area was a 0/10 for me, no flavor at all. Pizza was also bad. The service was way better than the food for sure. Hopefully they improve over time since they did just open on the 23rd of febuary. The buffet is also very small. Expect a 20-30 min wait time on weekends.

I dont know about the other review but the food was good and we didn't have any wait. I would dare say its better layout than Beijing buffet because it goes on two sides. My favorite part is that the food isn't dry as some buffets can be dried out with all the meats sitting. This is my number one draft pick for buffet, first days opening will always be rough but they handled it very well with friendliness.

Highly recommend. $18 for lunch time. Imagine a large bowl of pho is $16 in pho binh minh. So for value you cannot beat grand buffet. Sushi buffet at march lane by SF market needs to step up or lower their price because this place is just overall better and cheaper too! Also better value than beijing buffet. This is my no. 1 buffet in stockton, no. 2 beijing.
